Dracilian
MediumInsectoid Line — Apex Predators of the West Coast
The hunt is balance. We do not kill — we correct.
Appearance
Dracilians stand between 5'10" and 6'4" with lean, sinewy frames wrapped in sleek chitin that gleams in patterns of obsidian, bronze, or forest green. Faint seams of bioluminescent gold trace along their necks and arms. Their eyes are large and faceted, shifting color with emotional state. Their faces are framed by short mandibles. They move with predatory precision — each motion silent, deliberate, and balanced. There is no wasted movement.
Origin & Lore
The Dracilians evolved from the Thrixen mantid clans. The Essa radiation that intensified during the Age of Escalation did not damage them — it completed them. The hive dependency that organized their civilization dissolved as individual consciousness deepened over generations. The resulting species — solitary, philosophically developed — regard the act of hunting as theological maintenance. The world has an order; predators and prey each fulfill a role. The Dracilian who hunts is not expressing aggression: they are correcting an imbalance.

Roleplaying a Dracilian
The Dracilian does not rage. They assess, and then they act, and the action is final and precise and carries no more emotional weight than the closing of a circuit. Violence is legible as exactly what it costs.
